There are different methods of manufacturing awnings, so if you request a lacedown method by your chosen awning company, its easy to remove and replace awning fabric when a hurricane or high risk storm is coming. Use discretion in the decision to remove frame. Frames usually can remain attached if the fabric is removed. If fabric is tightly stretched, it should be stable even when winds are extremely high.

Instructions on removing fabric before major storms and high winds:
